Boomer Remover;

Boomer Remover; Gen Z’s war cry has taken over Twitter.

Politically incorrect humor is hysterical, until it hits close to home. Then we stand with puffed chests and proclaim our collective hurt and innocence of our generations participation in ruining the planet for future generations; not paying attention to climate change when we could have really made a difference, stopped plastic islands the size of Texas from floating across the oceans, cut the population and basically paid attention.

I actually think the term is funny and I am a Boomer.  Was I complacent in world affairs, probably. I was busy raising my brood of Millennial’s and making sure there were resources for their masters degrees and food on the table as a single mom with a deadbeat dad.  If that sounds like cop out, think about it before you judge.

No going back.  We are in the middle of the biggest crisis in my lifetime and hopefully for a long time in the future.

-And the Boomer-In-Charge of the US government has botched the job.

-A boomer has lied to us-“We have this under control.”

-A boomer has underscored the nations health-dismantling the Pandemic Office in the first months of his Presidency.  A direct quote from CDC head Fauci, “We worked well with that office. It would have been nice if it were still there.”

-A boomer has ignored early warnings from the CDC-“This will be over in a few weeks.”

-A boomer has created a tsunami of false information and denied reality for weeks on end. “There are plenty of test kits.”

-A boomer blamed the Obama administration for holding up Covid-19 testing.  I cannot begin to explain that one.

-A boomer said the cases in Italy were diminishing when actually they were ramping up at an exponential rate.

– And NOW he wants to open the country to glorious choirs of angels singing “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today” on Easter morning in less than a month.  Got to get back to business.

No one wishes this virus on anyone.  It is devastating to see the footage from New York and to hear ER doctors begging for help.  These front line heroes deserve our eternal gratitude.  What we need is Gov. Andrew Cuomo-type leadership, not the Salesman-In-Chief.

So when Generation Z, those born in the mid to late 1990’s and ending about 2010, look like uppity kids whose mouths need a good washing with a bar of Camay soap; think again.

I think they are on to something.  Are you listening Boomer In Charge?
